UUSGBC NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION, MARYLAND, & VIRGINIA COMMUNITY TERRITORIES

Projects are nominated for USGBC's Community Leadership Awards are based on where the projects are located. It does not matter where the owner or nominating company are headquartered.

Please see the descriptions below outlining the USGBC National Capital Region, Maryland, and Virginia community territories. If after reading the information below, you still have a question about which community to apply for an award in, contact us.

 

USGBC NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION (USGBC NCR) COMMUNITY TERRITORY

USGBC NCR serves the District of Columbia; Montgomery and Prince George’s counties in Maryland; and Arlingon, Fairfax, and Loudoun counties in Virginia. Projects in Maryland or Virginia not in one of the beforementioned counties should apply for a USGBC Maryland or USGBC Virginia Community Leadership Award (see below for maps of these communities).

USGBC MARYLAND COMMUNITY TERRITORY

 

The USGBC Maryland Community territory consists of the 21 counties that are shaded in the map below, plus Baltimore City (which is an independent city and also shaded below). Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties are located in the USGBC National Capital Region (USGBC NCR) community, and should apply for a USGBC NCR Community Leadership Award.

USGBC VIRGINIA COMMUNITY TERRITORY

 

The USGBC Virginia territory is outlined on the map below. Please note that the following counties in Northern Virginia are part of the USGBC National Capital Region community: Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun. Projects located in these counties should apply for a USGBC NCR Community Leadership Award.
