Help us Make A Midsummer Night's Green Even Greener!

The USGBC National Capital Region (USGBC-NCR) has partnered with DC-based (r)evolve to document the carbon footprint of A Midsummer Night's Green at the Arena Stage. You can help us reduce the carbon footprint of this event! Transportation to and from the event can generate significant carbon emissions. Instead of driving in a private vehicle, consider the following:

  • Walk or bike to the event. Bicycle parking is available at Arena Stage and there’s a Capital Bikeshare station located by the Waterfront Metro Station at 4th and M SW.

  • Take public transportation. Arena Stage is located across the street from the Waterfront station on the Green line, and Metro Bus lines A9, W9 and 74 stop at the building while the P6 and V1 lines stop only steps away.

While we realize that sometimes driving is more convenient, we urge you to use a private vehicle or rideshare as a last option. Those who do take public transportation will be eligible to participate in an incentive drawing to be held during the event.

What will we be giving away during the drawing? Take a quick look:

  • Two tickets to NCR’s Nationals Stadium Tour and Game on August 2nd

  • A free membership to NCR for one year

  • Bottle of Riesling from District Winery

  • Bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from District Winery

We will calculate the event’s overall carbon footprint and share the results with you. We will aim to do this for each of our National Capital Region events going forward.

Thank you for helping us put the GREEN into A Midsummer Night’s Green!
